NURSE is a professional person who is responsible and accountable in practice, able to integrate knowledge of the arts and sciences to provide a framework for professional nursing practice.
NURSING EDUCATION is an art which involves intuition, creativity, caring and application of nursing therapeutics, communication skills and supportive interpersonal processes. These aspects are integrated with knowledge from natural and behavioural sciences through critical thinking and systematic investigation. Nursing department recognizes the integration of these two interrelated aspects of professional practice i.e: the art and science in nursing. Students will be equipped with a disciplined mind capable of thinking and creatively and enables a person to strive for continous education in nursing.
CLIENT either an individual, family , group, organization or community possesses characteristics, culture, physical, psychological, spiritual and social identities. The nurse provides and assist human needs of the client so that they are able to recognise and adapt to the changing needs as they strive for a healthy lifestyle.
HEALTH is a dynamic state of biological, psychological, behavioural and social well-being and reflects client's ability to alter its environments or to adjust to or evolve with environmental changes. Holistic health provides with a wholeness in care and evolves awareness of self and enhanced quality of life.
ENVIRONMENT is all internal and external conditions, circumstances and influens that interact and affect the client's holistic health.The nurse provides continous plan of care involving a team approach, working cooperatively, communicating openly and sharing responsibility for problem solving and decision making and minimise risks to the client.
